THE STORY OF SOFTLY UNFOLDING

Softly Unfolding was one of those works that surprised me while I was creating it.

I didn’t begin with a precise image or a fixed destination. I only knew that I wanted to follow something delicate, something that felt as if it was slowly appearing rather than being forced into existence.

The process was much slower than usual. I kept adding, removing, stopping, looking, waiting. There were moments when I felt the painting was almost asking me not to interfere too much. Every layer changed the balance, every small gesture opened a new possibility.

And then, at some point, I looked at it and realized it had become something far more beautiful than I had expected.

That is why I called it Softly Unfolding.

Because some things do not arrive suddenly. They reveal themselves little by little. Quietly. Almost before we notice them. And only later do we understand that they had been becoming something all along.

I don’t want to tell you exactly what this painting represents.

You may see an aurora, a distant glow, a beginning, a memory, a transformation, a moment of calm, or something that belongs only to you.

That freedom is important to me.

I want the work to remain open enough for you to bring your own story into it.

And perhaps that is the most intimate part of this piece: it does not ask to be understood immediately.

It asks to be felt.
