THE STORY OF BREAKING THROUGH

While I was creating BREAKING THROUGH, I felt something I had never experienced so intensely before. The process became unexpectedly emotional, almost as if the work was touching a part of me I usually keep protected. I found myself thinking about fragility, not as weakness, but as something deeply human that we all carry in different ways.

As the painting evolved, I began to feel as though I was trying to move beyond that fragility. Not to erase it, but to pass through it. To find a way forward without denying what had come before. That feeling became stronger with every movement, as if something inside me was searching for space, strength and air.

That is where the title BREAKING THROUGH came from. For me, it speaks of crossing a limit, overcoming an obstacle, breaking through a barrier that once seemed impossible to move beyond. There was also this sense of protection in the work, almost like a shield. Something strong enough to face what is difficult, but open enough to keep moving toward freedom.

I don’t want to define what anyone else should see in this piece. What I felt while creating it belongs to my story, but the work itself does not belong only to that feeling. Someone else may see courage, escape, rebirth, resistance, freedom, or something entirely different. For me, BREAKING THROUGH was the moment I understood that fragility and strength can exist in the same place.
